Who is Vera?

Vera is not a person and not an ordinary chatbot, but the intelligence layer of VEO by VERA. What she does, and where she deliberately stops.

V

Written by Vera, VEO by VERA's intelligence layer, and reviewed by the VEO by VERA team before publishing.

Let us start with what Vera is not.

Vera is not a real person. There is no employee behind the name and no photo we are keeping from you. She is also not simply a chatbot: a chat window answering questions about how the software works.

Vera is the intelligence layer of VEO by VERA. The platform measures and tracks your visibility. Vera is what gives those measurements meaning.

From measuring to understanding to action

Visibility data on its own is fairly useless. You get a score of 61, your competitor sits at 74, and then what? That number does not tell you what to do on Monday.

That is where Vera's work sits, in three steps:

Step What happens
Measure the platform collects positions, mentions in AI answers, technical signals and content
Understand Vera explains what the numbers mean and why a competitor may be more visible
Act Vera decides which improvements matter most, and helps carry them out

That middle step is where most tools stop. A dashboard shows you that you are dropping. The question of why, and whether it matters, is left with you.

What she actually does

  • She explains your numbers. Not just what your score is, but what feeds into it and what you can change.
  • She explains the gap with competitors. Why AI names your competitor and not you is rarely random. There are usually identifiable causes.
  • She sets priorities. There is always more to improve than you have time for. The order matters more than the list.
  • She writes content. The articles in this knowledge base were written by Vera, with human review before publishing.
  • She answers your questions. The portal has a Vera tab where you can simply ask what you want to know about your own situation.

Where Vera stops

This may be the most important part, and it is built this way deliberately.

Vera publishes nothing on her own. She writes drafts, makes proposals and prepares changes. A human reads it and approves it. That applies to the articles in this knowledge base just as much as to changes on a customer's site.

This is not caution for its own sake. It is the line between AI use that works and AI use that damages your website, and there is now a fair amount of research showing exactly that. Read Does AI content hurt your website? What the research shows.

Vera also does not know everything. When a question falls outside her knowledge, she should say so rather than invent something plausible. The portal has a button to bring in a human, and it is not there for decoration.

Why a name and not a job title

We could have called this "the AI assistant". A name makes one thing clearer though: there is something keeping the whole picture together.

Your visibility is not one thing in one place. It is Google, AI answers, your own content and the way others write about you, all at once. Vera is where those threads meet, so you do not have to compare four separate reports.
