1. Who we are

VEO by VERA is a product of Abels Enterprise B.V., registered at Mariastraat 52, 1531 JB WORMER, Netherlands, Chamber of Commerce number 77754247 (hereinafter: “we”, “us” or “VEO by VERA”). We are responsible for processing personal data as described in this privacy policy.

2. What data we collect

We process the following categories of personal data:

• Contact data: name, email address, company name and the message you send via our contact form.
• Account data: email address and password (stored encrypted) upon registration.
• Usage data: IP address, browser type, pages visited and timestamps — via cookies and server logs.
• Payment data: billing address and transaction references. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card details.
• Website data: URLs you enter for an SEO/GEO/AEO scan.

3. Why we process your data

We process personal data for the following purposes:

• Performance of contract: providing the VEO by VERA services you have signed up for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Legitimate interest: securing our systems, preventing fraud and improving our services (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Consent: sending commercial emails where you have given explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You may withdraw consent at any time.
• Legal obligation: maintaining records for tax purposes (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

4. Retention periods

We do not retain personal data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:

• Contact form messages: maximum 2 years after receipt.
• Account data: for as long as your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion.
• Invoice and payment data: 7 years in accordance with Dutch tax retention requirements.
• Server logs: maximum 90 days.

5. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the following rights:

• Access: you may request to see which data we process about you.
• Rectification: you may have inaccurate data corrected.
• Erasure: you may request deletion of your data, unless we are legally required to retain it.
• Objection: you may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Data portability: you may request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Complaint: you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
