1. What are cookies

VEO by VERA uses the following categories of cookies:

2.1 Functional cookies (strictly necessary)

These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They are only placed in response to actions you take yourself, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. No consent is required for these cookies under the Dutch Telecommunications Act.

• Session cookie: maintains your logged-in session. Expires when the browser is closed.
• CSRF token: protects forms against cross-site attacks. Session duration.
• Language preference: remembers your chosen language (NL/EN). 1 year.
• Cookie consent status: stores your cookie choice. 1 year.

2.2 Analytical cookies

Analytical cookies help us understand how visitors use our website, which pages are most visited and which campaign or source visitors arrive from. We use this information to improve our website. We ask for your consent before placing these cookies; without your consent they are not placed and nothing is measured.

• Google Analytics 4: measures visitor numbers, pages viewed and where visitors come from (an email campaign, for example). Processor: Google Ireland Limited. Cookie retention: up to 2 years (_ga) and 24 hours (_ga_* session cookie); we retain the statistics themselves for 14 months. IP anonymisation is enabled and we do not use the data for advertising: advertising cookies and personalised ads are permanently switched off (Google Consent Mode v2).

Google Analytics is only loaded after you click "Accept". If you choose "Decline", the script is not loaded and no analytical cookies are placed.

3. Third-party cookies

We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe may place its own cookies at checkout. These are third-party cookies; Stripe's privacy policy applies to these cookies. We do not place tracking or advertising cookies from social networks.

4. Managing and deleting cookies

You can review your choice at any time via Cookie preferences, at the bottom of every page or here. If you withdraw your consent, we delete the analytical cookies straight away. You can also manage and delete cookies through your browser settings:

• Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
• Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
• Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
• Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
